China Telecom and Ericsson have jointly launched the China Telecom IoT Open Platform, a global connectivity management platform, to support the Belt and Road Initiative and jointly promote the deployment of IoT solutions and services. Built on Ericsson's Device Connection Platform (DCP), the platform provides enterprise customers with reliable connectivity services backed by service-level agreements and enables unified, visible management of devices and access networks.

This platform enables enterprises to rapidly deploy, scale, and manage IoT devices through partnerships, integrating their own business processes with China Telecom's managed connectivity services to build reliable IoT solutions. Since launching DCP in 2012, Ericsson has supported over 25 operators and 2,000 enterprise customers worldwide through its IoT Accelerator Platform. This collaboration builds on a five-year memorandum of understanding signed by the two parties in 2016 to jointly build global IoT connectivity capabilities and provide enterprises with one-stop, global IoT connectivity services.

China Telecom's Recent IoT Focus

The company is also actively promoting its OneGrowth Global Cooperation Plan to expand its digital services internationally, particularly under the "Belt and Road" initiative.
